Welcome to Day 3!
I hope everyone is enjoying the tour so far. What about all those great ideas out there! WOW!! I am so impressed. Can't wait to try some of them out myself!
I have a great little gift idea here. I found this awesome pattern for small test tubes by Lisa Somerville at www.lisasomerville.com. I have one for Halloween. The base is Pumpkin Pie Card stock, DSP is Nite Owl (found in the Holiday Mini). On the front I put a piece of Basic Black CS. I then stamped the images from Wicked Cool on Confetti White CS. I used Rich Razzleberry marker to color in the socks and hat band and then I used the Rich Razzleberry marker & the Color Spritzer tool to add a little color. I punched two bas with the fabulous bat punch!!! OOPS! Almost forgot, I used black taffeta ribbon around the box!
To top off the top, I stamped th spider web with Basic Gray (i did ink up the stamp & stamped off once then stamped on a piece of Confetti Whte CS) and stamped the sentiment with Pumpkin Pie, punched with 1 3/8" circle punch and layered that on the Pumpkin Pie CS I punched with the scallop circle punch.
I filled the test tubes with M&M's and tied a piece of Pumpkin Pie Taffeta ribbon around each!
For the Christams one, I used Marina Mist for the base, Candy Cane Christmas for the DSP - love this one from the Holiday Mini, some sheets are glittery! The snow flakes are made with a new Big Shot Die - Northern Frost. It is a decorative strip and you can make 8 snowflakes at a time! The brads are Glimmer Brads! love that sparkle. On the front I used Real Red CS layered on top of that is Whisper White CS that I ran through the BS with the Northern Flurry embossing folder! The Christmas Ball I stamped the image with Versamark and Real red, then stamped it onto Whisper White CS and heat embossed it using Iridescent Ice. I then punched it out with the ornament punch. The ornament image is from the Idea Book and Catalog! The ribbon i the 1/8" Real Red taffeta. I filledthe test tubes with York Candy coated Peppermint Patties - like M&M's, but minty and blue & white!
